A day after the formation of a new Kalimpong district nearly 5,000 people associated with different organisaitons like MR dealer Association of Kalimpong,Main Line Taxi Drivers Welfare Association,Business community along with members of different political parties joined the Trinamul Congress in presence of PWD Minister Arup Biswas at the Mela Ground in Kalimpong today.

The public meeting of first Kalimpong TMC district committee six class representative of Gorkha Jan Mukti Bidharti Morcha joined the Trinamul Congress. Addressing the meeting Minister Arup Biswas said: “We are very happy to see the crowd gather at the Mela Ground to join the hands of TMC under its dynamic leader Mamata Banerjee.”

Without naming Bimal Gurung,Mr Biswas went an all out attack on Gurung.He said sitting in a responsible post he is talking rubbish. He knows that not many people are with him as he is continuously losing his ground.

Biswas added despite GTA people are coming to chief minister to solve their problem. No development has been done. He appeals the masses to give a chance to Trinamul Congress in the upcoming polls.“You had given them 20 years and no developmental work was carried out. But had got only two years and we changed Kalimpong into a district and ensured developmental
projects which was not done in those 20 years.”

He appealed the masses to join TMC for development of their place.
